Beat the Heat

Here's how the O-folks did it: We lunched at The Grumpy Troll, a brewpub in Mount Horeb. I think everyone enjoyed the food well enough. My Walleye sandwich was average or just slightly above for pub fare. However, the fries were well above-average, and the Grump Chips with Gorgonzola dip appetizer was fantastic, very crunchy and potatoey but not greasy. Best of all was the beer, in which the elders could indulge because Number Two son volunteered to be the designated driver. (What a guy!) I had Monk Sweat Belgium Strong Golden Ale and a Norwegian Ale (with hints of coriander and orange) whose name I forget; both were quite tasty and refreshing.

We decided that another great way to beat the heat is to go from an air-conditioned restaurant to air-conditioned car to air-conditioned movie theater. We wanted to see Ratatouille, but after driving around to several area movie theaters, one twice, we gave up on that idea, came home, and turn on the air-conditioner. I took a nap with the fan on.
