Outside Escape Java Joint and Art Gallery on Madison's Willie Street, Waving Guy, aka Waving Dude, faithfully carrying out his duty of waving to passing cars, never fails to bring a smile to my face. And that's saying something, because I'm not a morning person, never have been, and as I pass by at 7ish in the morning on the way to my government office job I'm not usually in the best of spirits.
