A Craving for Cornbread

I wanted cornbread. (I've gotta wonder who doesn't love cornbread. People to watch out for, to be suspicious of, that's who.) That left the question of what to have with it. After rummaging around the frig & pantry, I decided upon a concoction of fried chorizo, peppers, onions, and garlic simmered in a sauce of fire-roasted tomatoes, with a few splashes of cherry stout for some extra pizazz. Mmmm. Sometimes non-recipe recipes are the best kind.
